Vice President of Commercial & Reserves

Andy’s 40-year energy career began in 1982 upon graduating from Texas A&M University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, joining Shell Exploration & Production in their West Coast Division as a reservoir engineer. Andy held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at Shell and was named the Area Manager for Shell’s Rocky Mountain production assets in 1996. He left Shell in 1998 to become the COO of CCNG, Inc., a small privately held energy company in Houston focused on midstream and oil field services. In 2003, Andy joined Carrizo Oil & Gas as Vice President of Business Development. At Carrizo, he was responsible for leasing, reserves & development planning and midstream solutions for the Company’s shale plays in the Barnett, Eagle Ford, Niobrara and Permian where the Company ultimately leased and developed several hundred thousand acres and drilled over 1,000 horizontal wells. Andy was also responsible for the Company’s acquisition and divestiture activities spearheading multiple transactions that totaled over $2 billion and worked closely with Carrizo’s CEO and Board in its equity and debt raising efforts. After Carrizo’s merger with Callon Petroleum in late 2019, in December 2020 Andy joined Rosehill Resources as it was emerging from bankruptcy as Senior Vice President Commercial and Technical. At Rosehill he was integral in restructuring the Company’s midstream contracts, optimizing well production and surveillance, and streamlining facilities operations. The Company’s Permian assets were sold for $510 million in October 2021.
